Matt Beca's beautiful one time shot off a Shawn Weller pass beat Harvard netminder Kyle Richter and gave the Knights their first lead of the weekend at the 18:36 of the third period tonight at Cheel. To this point Clarkson had scrapped their way to a 2-2 tie with goals from D'Alvise and Sullivan. Clarkson came out of the gate sluggish and could not find a rhythm for most of the game. Combine this with injuries to Phil Paquet and Nick Dodge, and Clarkson could have settled for another tie. I think we saw that this team can dig down and find another level when they need to this weekend. Which is the hallmark of a good team.

Clarkson looks to take three of four points on the weekend against Harvard at Cheel. Last night the Knights never lead the contest but salvaged a tie against Dartmouth as Nick Dodge scored twice in the the final five minutes to erase a 2 goal deficit. This was the first time in 13 games the Knights surrendered over 2 goals.
